Patima Tantiprasut is an ECU graduate who followed her dream. She completed a Bachelor of Communications (Interactive Multimedia & Graphic Design) in 2005 and currently works as a Web Designer for a company called Bam Creative.
“Ever since my high school days I knew that I wanted to become a graphic designer, so when Graphic Design became a new major in TEE Art I opted to try it out. I was also very fascinated with computers and my skills with using them became better as I started learning how to use design and illustration programs.
"During my course at ECU I learnt about web development and design techniques that have helped me to land my dream job as a web designer at Bam Creative. Not only did ECU teach me new skills, I also learnt how to ‘learn’.
" This has helped me greatly to adapt in an industry that is constantly changing and advancing in techniques. I made many friends at ECU - both students and staff who I still see even to today. Most of these people are involved in the same industry and we attend a lot of ‘networking’ events together.
"My plans for the future involve continuing my studies in a project management direction (in the web industry) and also to pursue my music career as a guitarist for an all girl band, Jonas.”
